Preface

Welcome to the Language Studio Knowledge Base

This Knowledge Base provides a single entry point for all Language Studio users, exposing a wide variety of troubleshooting, how-to, and best practices articles to help you succeed with Language Studio. Articles in this knowledge base were written mostly by support and field engineers, in response to typical customer questions and issues and are intended to make Language Studio easy to use, install and manage.

The side menu to the left gives you quick access to the major categories and articles or you can search using the Search box. You can filter searches to limit their scope by clicking on the Filters drop down icon.

Different categories have been prepared for each category of user:

  1. Users of Language Studio

    • Installation Guide
      A detailed step-by-step guide on how to install Language Studio on a server.
    • Administration User Guide
      One Language Studio is installed, then the remainder of the configuration and ongoing management is via the web interface.

      Detailed information on each module, it’s features, and configuration.

      A range of articles covering best practices and other relevant information. These articles are mostly targeted and administration and management.
  3. Developers and Systems Integrators
    • REST API
      A technical guide for software developers to integrate their products via Language Studio REST API.
    • How-To and General Information
      A range of articles covering best practices and other relevant information. These articles are mostly targeted and administration and management, but some are useful for developers and systems integrators also.
  4. Customization
    • Machine Translation Engine Customization
      A technical guide on the roles during customization, the process and options available for customization, and how to get the most out of a machine translation engine customziation process.
